Exam Dates

UP Police Constable Re-Exam is scheduled on 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31, 2024. Admit card will be released 7-10 days before the exam ( Career Power )

Selection Process

The selection process of UP Police Constable consists of several stages:

1. Written Exam : The written exam will be conducted online and will consist of 150 questions carrying 300 marks. Each correct answer will carry 2 marks, and there will be negative marking of 0.5 marks for each wrong answer. The exam will consist of four subjects: General Knowledge, General Hindi, Numerical and Mental Ability, and Mental Ability/Reasoning ( Oliveboard )( Career Power ) .

2. Document Verification and Physical Standard Test (PST) : Candidates who qualify the written exam will have to undergo document verification and physical standard test. This includes measuring height and chest (for male candidates).

3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) : Candidates who qualify the PST will have to appear for PET which involves running a specified distance in a specified time.

4. Medical Examination : Candidates who clear all the above stages will have to undergo a detailed medical examination before the final selection ( Career Power ) .

Syllabus & Exam Pattern

• General Knowledge : It includes topics like Indian and World Geography, Indian Economy and Culture, History and Current Affairs.
• General Hindi : It includes questions based on comprehension, grammar and vocabulary.
• Numerical and Mental Ability : Covers basic arithmetic, number series and problem solving.
• Mental Ability/Reasoning : Tests logical reasoning, decision making and analytical skills ( Oliveboard )( Career Power .

Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit : The age limit for male candidates is 18-25 years (General Category), and for female candidates it is 18-28 years. There is age relaxation for SC/ST, OBC and Ex-Servicemen.
• Physical Standards : Male candidates should have minimum height of 168 cm (UR/OBC/SC) and 160 cm (ST), chest measurement should be 79-84 cm (UR/OBC/SC) and 77-82 cm (ST). Female candidates should have minimum height of 152 cm (UR/OBC/SC) and 147 cm (ST) and minimum weight should be 40 kg​ ( Career Power )​​( Free Press Journal ) .

Examination Centre

The exam will be conducted at 377 centres in 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates will be allotted centres based on their preferences during the application process ( Free Press Journal ) .
